Sunday marked the Autumn equinox, which means au revoir sunnies and skirts and hello cosy knits and snug scarves. Personally, I am not ready to say goodbye to the heat, but I sure am a fan of a white hot chocolate and a spiced candle! It has been an incredible Summer for me, I have packed it full of amazing adventures visiting new places and embarking on new experiences. The chaos is not about to stop there, one is always a busy bee, and that hasn’t changed in the past week.
If you’ve been following my Instagram, then you will know all about my new chapter in life. I have returned back to uni to join a load of fresh-faced youngsters as a mature student. What a way to feel old! I am studying to be a teacher and last week was my second week on the course! I am eagerly awaiting to find out my placement but I’ve already entered a classroom, the kids didn’t break me and this week I will be teaching a lesson. Eeeeeek!
To get on my course there was a lot of preparation needed, that included re-sitting my Science exam. YUK right?! Well, thankfully I have a super brainy cousin who gave his time to help me revise and I passed. To thank him I though a night out was on the cards. As a hip hop fan when I saw tickets being released for the orchestral rendition of Notorious BIG’s Ready To Die album, they had to be snapped up. We had such a fab night and it was amazing to see his music come alive to trumpets, violins and saxophones.
This weekend also marked the last night in at my place in Manchester. It was a good 2 years but just time to move on! As well as the usual packing and cleaning, I got to have a last night with my bestie! It involved copious amounts of wine and McDonalds, late nights and lie ins. Just what the Dr ordered!
From old friends to new ones. On Saturday night I headed out into Lancaster with one of my new uni friends to have a little tipple and explore what the city has to offer. We delved into some tasty pizza at a place highly recommended by my family. We dipped into the Herbarium, which I so desperately wanted to be impressed, the decor and feel was so on my level but the atmosphere was a drip! So, we went onto The Borough which was fairly cheap and did us for a night-cap!
Sunday I was up bright and early and headed over to the lakes to chill with my nana. We went and took pup on a big long walk in the last of the sunshine and even got to witness some hound trails! Very interesting! After a brew or two, I went back to get cosy with my aunt and uncle and watch the finale of the bodyguard!
How was your week?
