A PORTUGUESE DATE NIGHT WITH MATEUS ROSE *

A PORTUGUESE DATE NIGHT WITH MATEUS ROSE *

If you haven’t yet noticed, food plays a big part in my life, and I tend to find that when I am spending quality time with people food is generally involved. With my partner being a chef and me travelling all over for work finding that time with each other can prove quiet difficult! We catch up over meals, and drinks and are constantly trying to be proactive in the days we have together. One thing that I would love us to attend together would be a foodie festival, where…

CAU – DIDSBURY – MANCHESTER *

As you may be able to tell by now I am a girl who just loves to eat! I like to dine out I like to cook I like and enjoy anything related to food. I would say I am a rather adventurous person – I’ve tried all sorts of different cuisines from different countries! A couple of weeks ago I could tick Buenos Aires off my list! Yes, this day was a cause for celebration, I passed my driving test, it was my partners Birthday and we headed out…

INTERNATIONAL CHEESE AWARDS *

INTERNATIONAL CHEESE AWARDS *

On May 15th I spent the most glorious evening in a beautiful loft venue that stank of cheese. It. Was. Amazing. The International Cheese Awards are hosted every year in Dorford Park near Nantwich. It hosts the celebration of the most beautiful thing in the world – CHEESE! My photog friend and I were lucky enough to get in to the opening evening hosted in London. We were welcomed with big smiles, a glass of prosecco, and a whole load of cheese. Representatives from the sponsors of the Cheese Awards…

BISTROT PIERRE – ALTRINCHAM – MANCHESTER *

BISTROT PIERRE – ALTRINCHAM – MANCHESTER *

When the sun is out one of my fave things to do is dine alfresco, well I always like to dine as you can see here! However, it’s definitely something that has those holiday feels to me and I can never understand why people eat inside on a hot day.  Whenever we take a trip to France we often dine outside and it was great to get those vacay vibes last week whilst I was out sampling Bistrot Pierre’s Spring menu.

SUMMER GRILLED CHICKEN

SUMMER GRILLED CHICKEN

Can we just take a second to talk about how good this ruddy sun is?!  I mean talk about absolute bliss! There is one thing I love to do in this weather and that is have a good old BBQ! Yes sunshine, beers, friends and music – better yet in your own back garden. Well not mine ha I am not fortunate to have one, however if you bring recipes like this summer grilled chicken – trust people are happy to host you! I love this recipe as its simple,…

THE AGROS ROSE FESTIVAL WITH VISITCYPRUS *

THE AGROS ROSE FESTIVAL WITH VISITCYPRUS *

On the beautiful island of Cyprus, just East of Mount Olympus, there is the picturesque region of Pitsillia. The climate of the Pitsillia region perfect for the locals to cultivate the ‘Rosa damascene’ for various wonderful uses. And the exciting festival that takes place every May during the rose harvest in Agros which honours the rose and it’s endless beneficial uses. Last week I went along to visitcyprus’ ‘Rosewater Event’ which celebrated this very festival. We were welcomed into a beautiful rose filled room and treated to a refreshing rose bellini decorated with dried…

SPRING PRAWN SALAD

SPRING PRAWN SALAD

The weather is brightening up which means when it comes to food there is always one thing on the top of my list… salad. Yep that’s right – those people who say salads are boring, are seriously just not doing it right. I love a good ol’ leafy green on my plate! I mean honestly salad is made for sunny days especially my spring prawn salad. This month I’ve been big on meal prep – so want to save money for all of the good things in life and buying…

LIFE IS LIKE A BOX OF CRAFT CHOCOLATES *

LIFE IS LIKE A BOX OF CRAFT CHOCOLATES *

Can you remember the last time you sat down with a decent box of chocolates?! Yep neither can I! There is so much sweet stuff on the shelves now with treat bags to share bars, however as my dad would always say ‘this is not real chocolate’ – in a really strong French accent. I suppose, being from France where the streets are filled with chocolatiers making craft chocolate bars and indulgent truffles he is right! The stuff we get from the shops is far less desirable than a handmade chocolate!…

TAKE YOUR TASTE-BUDS TO THE MIDDLE EAST WITH DESTINATION2*

TAKE YOUR TASTE-BUDS TO THE MIDDLE EAST WITH DESTINATION2*

As you can see by my Instagram and the majority of this blog, I enjoy food. Like a lot. Just give me the food, all of the food, all day long. I pride myself on being one of those people who will try anything once – as an adult I have now managed to make myself like numerous foods, such as olives, artichokes and aubergine, however I’ll still pass on the mushrooms and I’m not best friends with the good old tomato. I have been very lucky in my life…

WINETASTING AT VEENO *

WINETASTING AT VEENO *

We had the pleasure of visiting Veeno, a quaint little Italian café tucked away on a back street in Manchester. The brand started 3 years ago with two Italian guys’ passion for Spuntini* and wine, and noticed that there was nowhere in Manchester offering the same thing. Veeno now has 14 stores across the UK, with a new one opening in Kingston upon Thames. The café offers a variety of wine, prosecco, beer, small nibbles and light bites. They have various wine tasting packages perfect for meeting up with friends…
