Looking back a couple of weeks ago, I was lucky enough to be invited to the amazing launch of The Grand Pacific restaurant on Spring Gardens which you can read about here. With travelling further up North the day, it only made sense to stay over in the city. Generally when staying in Manchester I have even gone to friends or family, or to a hotel. When about to book our normal hotel, I noticed the opportunity for the City Warehouse Aparthotel pop up. Well of course why not. You get a whole apartment for the price of a room. As seen as I was dying to go try out Kettlebell Kitchen, it was in the perfect location.
For where we wanted to be this was the most perfect location. Armed with bags and suitcases I was not prepared to march these across town for the train station and Kettlebell. Also its great to stay in the up and coming area of Ancoats and see whats happening in that area. When you know Manchester it is really not far at all from the city centre. A pretty much straight walk into town for 10 mins to Piccadilly Gardens. It is along a main road, which may bother some but I love car watching. Also for the price to be that close to town is amazing. Air BnBs go in at the same.
Well we actually got an entire apartment rather than a room which was amazing. Unfortunately for us we were eating out that night so the kitchen and dining table was left unused. However it will be one I consider if staying for a longer period of time, as all the essentials were there. It was roomy and spacious and there was lots of natural light coming in. Its was clean and tidy and had a comfy vibe around it. The living room was open plan with the kitchen and had big windows for people watching.
There was a TV and comfy sofas. The bedroom was cosy and warm. If anything maybe too warm, but you can complain about that can you! The bed was super comfy, I did have to rid some pillows though! The bathroom was ultra modern all black and white, with great lighting for my make up session. All together the rooms and spaces were fantastic and delightfully clean!
At £60 a room, so the same as a Travel Lodge I thought this was great value for money. Fantastic location, lovely and clean spacious apartment. There was also someone on reception 24/7 in case you had any issues. The staff were friendly and it was not a rowdy noisy hotel, like most others we have stayed at in Manchester.
In terms of did this place have everything you needed . Yes. For a long stay there was a washing machine, large fridge and everything else to make you feel comfortable. There was even an iron and board and all the tea and coffee you need. Filled with pans and utensils you could easily rustle up a meal for friends in here.
Everything was spick and span. I found no dust, no muck, it was all pristinely clean which I love!
I would definitely reccomend The City Warehouse Aparthotel if your taking a trip to Manchester. You couldn’t really get better for the money. If you would like to book or check out some dates follow their socials below.
