Well when I found out I was heading to the BAFTAS earlier this year I just couldn’t believe my luck I mean what a story to tell. It’s defo gonna be one to tell the grandkids! I mean how an earth was I going to prepare myself for the red carpet, seriously strutting my stuff whilst rubbing shoulders with the stars! I love sipping the bubbly stuff as much as the next but this was going to be something special and I needed to get red carpet ready! So how did one prepare…
We all know that the first step of prepping for a big event is a little TLC, try out a new bath bomb with a deep long soak, smoothen those legs out, get your brows on point followed by a nice natural Yes To face mask. I opted for one to wipe away any yucky blemishes. I also exfoliate my lips with this delightful smelling lip kit – I must admit the lip mask was rather bizarre and not something I will do again in a hurry!
My darling cousin and her friend came over to deal with my face and frizzy ball! I am so useless when it comes to these things and wouldn’t have made myself look half as pretty as they did. Of course I took my trusty Tarte – Feel Good Collection, I mean I swear by this masacara I feel like I am constantly warring fakies! I went for a natural lip colour as wanted elegance and sophistication for this one not boldness.
The big important bit – I mean I was going to up against the hottest names in fashion and there was no way I could compete with that! My choice was made simpler as I wanted to stand in unison with ma ladies so went with a black dress in support on the #MeToo movement. I found this glitzy little number on LOTD. I loved the shape and it suited my curves just right! And well who doesn’t like a bit of sparkle.
As my dress was rather busy I wanted some plan jewellery to compliment the outfit. I picked out my grandads pearls so he could share this night with me from above. Along with this just for an extra bit of jazz I chose to wear my swarvoski – which is currently on sale! I love the design of this ring and only bring it out for special occasions.
What an incredible event, I mean ou couldnt make this stuff up it is a once in a lifetime experience I will never forget. We were wined and dined and walked the red carpet, watched The Cirque De Soleil and even had to stand for royalt ha! I don’t think I will ever be that lucky again but what a memory.
