THE GOOD GURU – REVIEW

When I embarked on my journey to get healthier and fitter, the most exciting thing is finding and experimenting with new products. I am always looking out for products that can enhance my healthier diet, and make meal times more exciting. So when I discovered the Good Guru I was dead chuffed to find out they use the most quality ingredients, sourcing only natural and raw to make chemical GMO free products. They have a whole host of products whether its a protein boost your after, some breakfast oats, minerals and supplements or natural blends. What ever you journey is there is something to help you along the way. I was sent over a variety of products to create recipes with and enjoy. Oh and enjoy I did!

GOOD GURU GOOD OATS AND BERRIES

I must admit I pushed protein aside. I have never been a huge fan of shakes. Milk makes me gag a little, when they are watered down its gross, and I generally get an artificial taste when gulping down. Yet protein is such a huge part of recovery when working out hard! It is something that your muscles need to recuperate,  not only that but there are numerous benefits for your new workout regime.

THE BENEFITS OF PROTEIN

  • Greater muscle mass and lean tissue.
  • Less hunger and lower calorie intake.
  • Easier fat loss on a calorie restricted diet.
  • Less belly fat.
  • Better sleep.
  • Lower blood pressure.
  • Stronger tendons and faster recovery from injury.

So I was so happy to discover their berries and oats range. Its a great new way to incorporate
protein into my breakfast. I do like to workout first thing so to have a tasty bowl of protein oats afterwards is fantastic! I loved the flavour of these oats, they can be a bit on the sweet side. However I made some incredible recipes including some protein pancakes and tGOOD GURU, PROTEIN, GOOD GREENS, BERRIES AND OATS, OATS, REGIME, DIET, FITNESShese healthy milkshakes! I am glad I managed to make the oats into something, because I couldn’t use them on their own. I was a little disappointed and my tub seemed to be far more whey than oats. It was like powder and wouldn’t bulk up into porridge oats in the morning, I just mixed them into my normal oats ha! I would recommend these, but would have probably exchanged them, as I know they make good oats.

GOOD GURU GOOD GREENS

When I heard it was now recommended to be eating 10 portions of fruit and veg i was actively seeking ways to incorporate this into diet. Yet it aint easy guys until half a year ago I thought a satsuma could count as one. After using bananas in all sort of recipes like my banana pancakes and oats, I have overworked the trusty banana. When the good greens was sent over, it is jam packed with vitamins and minerals and just one glass makes your 5 a day. Great right. If your into your green smoothies then adding a scoop of this and your already on 2! I added some to my oats and even just drink it alone. A great way to add some extra goodness into your diet.
