GUEST POST : 5 HEALTHY BREAKFAST IDEAS TO MAKE UNDER 15 MINUTES

HEALTHY FOOD, HEALTHY BREAKFAST, HEALTHY EATING, LIFESTYLE, LIVING

We all wish and talk how we want to have a healthy lifestyle and eat proper food. Whether it is our job, our family obligations or just us being lazy, there is always something preventing us from actually stepping up and taking care of our body and health. If we really want to improve our nutrition, it is always the best way to start with having healthy breakfast. It will wake you up and help your body prepare for the rest of the long day ahead of you. Before you start whining how little time you have in the morning, take a look at these 5 healthy breakfasts that are done in less than 15 minutes and are still incredibly healthy (and mouth-watering!)

Fruit salad

This meal is so simple and familiar, and yet so healthy. You can make it in less than ten minutes, and in return, you get an unbelievable amount of various vitamins. The more different kinds of fruit you use to make the salad, the more important vitamins you’ll put in your organism. Whatever comes to your mind (and hands)- bananas, blueberries, pineapple, pears or oranges – just make your own combination and discover what you like best. Not only it’s healthy, it will also ease your hunger, which is really helpful if you’re on a diet. So visit the grocery store and come up with your kind of fruit salad.

Smoothie

What’s so great about smoothies is that they can be made with almost anything you have in the fridge. They are highly nutritive and easy to make, not to mention how delicious they are. The only thing you always need is milk or yogurt, and the rest of it is up to your inspiration. You can stick to the classical ingredients, such as bananas, pineapples or different kinds of berries, or you can try out something less orthodox, for example, pumpkins, ginger or even mushrooms. If you want to play with different tastes, you can look up various smoothie recipes. The only thing you need is a good blender to mix it all up really well and you are good to go.

New kind of toast

Toast is one of the usual breakfast meals, and there is a good reason – the preparation is really simple but still leaves you the possibility to choose what to combine with it. For instance, you can have the usual peanut butter toast, but actually – not with those actual ingredients! Instead of using peanut butter, try out sunbutter. Then, instead of buttering a slice of white bread, why not trying whole wheat bread? And to make the change complete, slice a banana with it, put some chia seeds and a couple of strawberries. You’ll get the right amount of minerals, vitamins, calcium, and fibers that you need to start the day, and less than 10g of fat.

Whey pancakes

Both children and adults love pancakes. There is just something about their smell and taste. True – they are filled with calories, but, luckily, it doesn’t have to be that way. The biggest problem with the calories is actually in the flour we use. You can make pancakes a healthy meal by using whey protein powder instead of regular fattening flour. What’s more, don’t use the usual syrup or sugary jam. Instead of it, add some fruit, such as apples or strawberries or maybe chocolate. The rest of the work is pretty much the same – mix the batter and flip the pancakes (toss them into the air if you feel like it!), and then enjoy your sweet, low-calories meal.

Chocolate quinoa

Chocolate isn’t unhealthy at all, we just need to pay attention to what we combine it with. There’s nothing bad in indulging ourselves with this delicious treat from time to time, just don’t go overboard with it! Here’s a healthy meal where you can add some chocolate – a bowl of chocolate quinoa mixed with some fruits is the way to go. There are numerous recipes online, and you are free to make your own combination out of them. Things you’ll definitely need is uncooked white quinoa, coconut and almond milk (without sugar), and something for your sweet tooth – dark chocolate, maple syrup, and cocoa powder. Additionally, you can put some hemp seed or some berries if you get really hungry, and you want it to be a complete meal.

All in all

Now you can see that time isn’t actually your enemy when it comes to healthy diet. These 5 meals are just a few of numerous possibilities for a proper start of your day. The Internet is filled with quick and nutritious recipes. It only takes you 15 minutes in the morning to find one you like and enjoy your healthy breakfast.
