So, back in April I moved back to my uni city of Manchester, although I have some family here, I lost most of my uni friends to their hometowns. So, when I moved back I did’t really have many people to hang out with. After a difficult relationship, I lost a lot of confidence and really found it hard to go out ad meet new people. It was daunting and scary, and I felt like I had forgotten how to interact. This is where The Girl Gang comes in. My friend was heading to a speed-mating event, and suggested I came along. You can read all about the experience here. Fast forward a couple of months and I have formed a solid friendship with a girl I met, Rebecca. We hang out weekly and have formed a strong bond! This had not gone unnoticed ad the BBC were doing a piece on the benefits of speed-mating, and we so happened to be a great success story. So, please watch our little video below, ad tune into BBC 5 live at 5:15 today to hear us talk on air!
