Earlier this month you may remember that I placed Love Cocoa as one of the hottest new products of July. Well I have been lucky enough to receive a taster of this amazing product. Wanting to share the dream of his iconic ancestors, James Cadbury set up Love Cocoa . So he set out to create high quality chocolate. His ambition was to provide something ‘absolutely pure, therefore the best’, delivered straight to your door. As we all know, to see that missed parcel note is very annoying. However with these delicious treats they will pop straight through your letter box, the very next day. Arriving the next day very promptly in lovely little boxes, and looking to a very high standard.
Love Cocoa is created with the finest of goods. Wherever they can it uses organic, homegrown and natural ingredients from the top producers. You can tell when opening the box. They looking a high quality, as if created with care. In each box lies three gorgeous looking bars with some modern artistic paper wrapping. When opening it it up it very much feels like I am going to find that golden ticket. Wrapped in delicate soft silver foil. Straight in my mouth some went. Others added to recipes. Lets see what they are like shall we.
I absolutely adored this bar. Opening the silver foil to a layer of golden honeycomb. Sprinkled delicately on the top of a smooth milk chocolate bar. I like that it exceeded expectation and the honeycomb wasn’t placed inside the bar. It was nice on top. The great part is that the honeycomb was slightly soft and chewy, with just a touch of crunch. Which is great as you are not going to break your teeth on it. Also these bars are extra special as the honeycomb pieces are infused with London’s award-winning Barnes & Webb honey.
By far my favorite of the milk collection. Not because it was the best tasting, as they are all delicious. However this gives me a real air of nostalgia. Earl Grey was my dad’s tea of the morning black with sugar, I would always sneak sips. Now it has been infused with chocolate I couldn’t dream of anything better. The taste was so soft and delicate. Perfectly matching this smooth bar. The earl grey was subtle and not overpowering. Yet it still had a strong presence. Infused with cold-pressed Bergamot flavours, this is a proper British bar of chocolate. We made a yummy breakfast of Earl Grey overnight oats. Check the recipe here.
What ever happened to the good old fashioned plain bar of chocolate. When did it have to be all fancy. Some days I just love a nibble of a nice smooth, creamy rich bar of milk chocolate. Well you certainly get that moment with this bar. With lashings of creamy milk it gives you that luscious melt in the mouth chocolate. This is the perfect bar
for those who like no fuss.
I would highly recommend this for chocolate lovers or those wanting to send a delicious gift. The bars are priced at £4.50 a bar, £12 for the milk collection or £21.95 for the entire 6. I think that is very reasonable given the quality of the ingredients and the standard of the finished product. You can visit their shop to buy now. Or we have been super lucky and Love Cocoa has given us their milk collection for one of our lucky readers to win.
