There are good and bad points in moving house. For me, someone who had moved house more times than lived in years, I literally can’t wait to settle into my own real home! I hate packing, deciding what to keep and what not to keep and you guessed it I hate unpacking! Yet, a new home means so many great things! It may be your first time buy or the retirement buy when the kids and flown the nest and it’s time to downsize! What ever it may be putting your own stamp on the place is the best bit about new house vibes! There are a couple of essential items needed to make that all important new house a home.

I just love a home that is full of pictures and framed prints. It says a lot about a person and really adds to an aesthetic. Recently my aunty and uncle moved house, and I wanted to get them something a bit more personal. As they are very family orientated, when I saw this welly print from Created By Magic, it was perfect. I could choose different colours and add accessories and I even managed to get Max, the beloved pup in there. The Old English Company is also a great site I’ve found this year that produces some fab inspirational mottos and pretty prints.

Nothing makes a home more than an array of deliciously scented candles, and Wax Lyrical have such a great selection for any candle lover. With a variety of collections suited for different individuals, you can’t help but spend a small fortune! We were gifted some items from the Yvonne Ellen collection that not only smell gorg but have the most beautiful branding!

No house move in complete without celebratory bubbles! Ya ha! Whether it’s a Perrier Jouet or a touch of Taittinger – we all have to christen the new home with a splash of fizz! What better than to accompany the bottle with a set of new flutes. One thing I noticed when moving is the lack of essential glasses I actually had in my cupboard. Until they were bought for me!

What is you new home essential?
