Monday Treats With Rosylee
Spending time with family is super important to me, now I am back in Manchester I am surrounded my cousins and brother. Therefore I make it important that I see them once a week. Now my cousin and I are super foodies, well he is like a hoover – same thing right?! So there is nothing we love more than having a catch up over some delicious food! After some research we picked out Rosylee in the ever so trendy Northern Quarter. I seem to be finding myself in the NQ a lot recently, I think I am falling back in love with this part of town. It also helps that on a Monday Rosylee has 50% off if you pre book which is actually insane considering the standard of food.
Knowing that we had 50% off just made us even more greedy! SO we were like seriously screw it lets get a platter ha! It will always be eaten with us around. This was also mainly because we actually couldn’t choose between all the tasty starters, so this made it easy for us! The platter was crammed full of delicious little delectables such as the Goats cheese bon bons – I could have eaten a thousand! As well as flatbread, olives, hummus and halloumi, I also can’t forget the deep fried courgette as it was one of the best things I have ever eaten. Not one bad word to say about this platter and I can say that the board was left clean. We also managed to polish off a garlic bread with cheese, which was so good it led my cousin to opt for a pizza for a main. That is saying something! I am such a plate swapper and love to try everything so I would highly recommend the platter, however if choosing something solo go for the bon bons!
For the main I opted for the Seabream, we all know I choose fish when dining out so there was no surprise there. Server with Cornish mussels, crushed potatoes and a tomato and garlic butter sauce! Literally everything was cooked to perfection and I just couldn’t get enough. It was the perfect amount especially after the large starter. My cousins opted for the pizza and a wild boar and chorizo burger. I was toying with my decision to get one of those, and did have slight food envy as it was incredible and tasty beyond belief.
VENUE : ★★★★★
Located in the super trendy NQ – this is no longer up and coming it’s just cool! The design of Rosylee is like stepping into a magical indoor garden. With a monochrome colour scheme, along with hints of green to compliment the plants hanging from the ceiling all lit up by fairy lights intertwined through the columns and other low lighting. It is a perfectly example of a cool, contemporary design. Perfect for the city, as we could all do with a bit more greenery right!
ATMOSPHERE : ★★★★★
Everyone around was very relaxed and enjoying themselves. We could hear each other and talk without shouting, and it just ooozed a chilled vibe!
STAFF : ★★★★★
The staff we fantastic, just what you need in a restaurant. They were attentive, knowledgeable and brought us extra plates knowing we were sharing. Of course we left a tip!
PRICE : ★★★★★
The price was the most insane thing about the meal! Having half price on a Monday out bill only came to around £30 which was incredible for the amount and the quality we had eaten. However I would have been more than happy to pay full price!
I would highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion, I love that the food is locally sourced and fresh, there is dining inside and out, and it is a truly unique little gem.
