Last week I wrote a post on the S Plus By ResMed, the new wireless sleep tracker that monitors and analyses your sleep in efforts to improve your sleeping pattern. As I said for years now I have suffered with issues with my sleep, and its a great relief to have something that can help me out. In my last post I wrote about my awful sleep score, and the advice that the S+ mentor gave me. To really test this beauty out I decided to follow all the advice given to me including exercise, hot baths and evening strolls. All in a bid for it to improve my score.

HOW DOES SLEEP DEPRIVATION EFFECT US?
According to the NHS one in three of us suffer from poor sleep. There are always so many things to blame. However blame is not what we need, its solutions. Poor sleep can be very dangerous to our health. On average the adult needs around 8 hours sleep to be fully recharged. However poor sleep can have dramatic effects on your health and you can be at risk of serious medical conditions, including obesity, heart disease and diabetes – and it shortens your life expectancy.

S Plus By ResMed Results
Looking at the results from the previous week the only night that I had a good nights sleep was last Sunday. This was actually when I had begun to follow the advice given. Otherwise my sleep score were well below 70 some going as even low as 50! However you can see the vast improvement in my sleeping. My sleep score in general is higher. I have less disruptions and I am in a deep sleep for longer, meaning my body becomes more recharged. Not only this bt it has sorted out my sleeping pattern. By 10pm I am tired instead of 2am, and I am beginning to wake up naturally around 08:30-09:00, this is something that has never happened. I have never woken up naturally, unless its past midday. I feel more energetic, my mood is lifted and I can do more with my day.
For anyone who has a bad sleeping pattern, irregular sleeping or just trouble with their sleeping. Well then I can highly recommend this piece of kit! I can not tell you how much my sleep has improved and how much better I feel about having brought this into my sleep routine. I must tell you I followed the advice. I did a workout each morning and between 5-7 took a little walk as well as bathing an hour and a half before bed. You have to put the work in to get the results you want. The one thing I struggled with is having the machine plugged in all night. I hate leaving things on all night long. Not only this but my phone needs to be plugged in all night too. Its good as the plug has a dual USB, however its not good for your phone battery. This is the thing that I dislike the most, it must be plugged in as its connected via bluetooth and if not charged mine phone would die. I think this is something to be looked at. As all the people I spoke with did not like this idea either. Other that than I think its a great piece of technology! Sleeping problems the S+ ResMed will sort you out.
