I have forever battled with my sleep as you can read when testing out the S Plus, it took me over a month and this piece of technology to sort out my very irritating and awkward sleeping pattern. Even still now, it is a lot better, combined with hot baths and regular exercise. However I still don’t find myself falling into an easy slumber! A study, of more than 10,000 adults by Benson for Beds, found that over 70% of Brits are not getting the recommended eight hours of sleep per night. I can put my hands up as being one of them. Days where I get up at 6 to head to gym, I am not sleeping until after midnight. That means under 6 hours sleep, this mean I find myself demotivated, unproductive and tired at work! So how can I drift of into a beautiful sleep, as that is the hard part. That was until I heard about these little things called Spacemasks!
What is a Spacemask?
Well Spacemasks claim to be an interstellar relaxation in a mask. Capable of whisking you away to a carefree world unpolluted by Earthly distractions. You are suppose to drift off into another world for around 15 mins and come back feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. With scents of lavender, it is designed to overwhelm you with calmness!
So I am rather sceptical when it comes to things like this! I didn’t think everything I heard was true and thought not a cats hell in chance is this going to put me to sleep before midnight. With my dubious mind I popped on my fairy lights, some relaxing music and placed the mask over my eyes. As the mask began to warm up (I found this a rather strange sensation) I thought it’s nice and relaxing but I am never going to fall asleep! Before I knew it I was cold out until 12:30! A solid 2 and 1/2 hours sleep, and once I awoke it wasn’t hard to drift back off. I was so pleasantly surprised, so much in fact I haven;’t stopped telling everyone! I would highly recommend these masks if you are wanting a decent nights sleep! My only qualms with this product is that is it not reusable, therefore not very sustainable, it would be great if you could just pop it back in the microwave and poof its alive again! I will definitely be making a future for when that night of deep rest is needed!
